Description

The Christchurch Speedcubers championship is back for 2022! What to bring? Your cubes, your lunch, your water bottle, and your mad skillz! This is an UNOFFICIAL speedcube competition just for fun in the April school holidays, and is open to anyone who can solve Rubik's cubes and other twisty puzzles. Despite being unofficial, we will run the day just like an official competition to give first timers a taste of what comp days are like, and also to give experienced solvers an extra practice session in a competition environment. Drop off time is 9am and pick up time is 5pm Schedule on the day will look like this*: 09:00 Hang time, set up, warm up. 10:00 2x2 10:50 3x3 12:05 Skewb 12:50 Lunch 13:20 Pyraminx 14:05 4x4 15:00 3x3 Final (everyone goes through!**) 16:15 Awards 16: 20 Pack up! To get the most out of the day, it's advisable to take part in all events, so get practicing! A digital ticket will be emailed to you, that you can either print or bring on a device on the day so we can scan it. *Schedule may be subject to minor changes, it depends how much people moan about it! **Club championships are not official, and the focus of the day is on people doing as many solves as possible, so everyone progresses to the 3x3 final, meaning you get to do 10x 3x3 solves
